Advanced develops the methods through guided practice. Master Class combines Foundation and Advanced with a final project and a structured review of your deliverables.
| Your learning journey | Advanced | Master Class |
|---|---|---|
| Modules | Modules 2 and 3: the Advanced pathway. | Modules 1, 2 and 3: Foundation and Advanced combined. |
| Scheduled classes | 42 hours over 10 non-consecutive days. | 54 hours of scheduled classes. Complete your final project at your own pace. |
| Practical work | Guided exercises in information delivery, coordination and visual reporting. | The same learning activities, plus a final project scoped around one selected project process. |
| Support | Guidance during classes, followed by email exchanges. | Guidance during classes, plus 30 days of email support after your final class and a structured review of your project deliverables. |
| Choose this when… | You have the entry-level BIM and Excel skills and want to focus on coordination, information management and reporting. | You want the complete journey, including Foundation, and a final project that brings the methods together. |
The entry requirements are reviewed before enrolment. The final project does not add scheduled class hours beyond the 54-hour Master Class programme.
ONE CONTINUOUS LEARNING JOURNEY
Foundation provides the starting point. Modules 2 and 3 form the Advanced pathway: 42 hours over 10 non-consecutive days. Master Class brings all three modules together in a 54-hour programme and a final project.

Information session: 6 February 2027. The time and class timetable will be agreed with participants.
54 hours of training, a final project and 30 days of email support after the final class. The full pathway does not take place on 6 February.
Indicative pace: Foundation over 2 six-hour days, followed by Advanced over 8 four-hour sessions and 2 five-hour workshops. A total of 54 hours over approximately 12 weeks, with one session per week, preferably on Saturdays. Develop your project during classes, then complete it at your own pace, with 30 days of email support after the final class.
Final dates and times are agreed with the group before enrolment is confirmed. This indicative pace is not a confirmed timetable. Information sessions introduce the pathways and are separate from the advertised training hours.
Training currently takes place live online. For Advanced and Master Class, the detailed timetable is agreed before enrolment is confirmed. Registering interest neither reserves a place nor triggers payment.
YOUR FINAL PROJECT
Turn project data into dashboards that support decisions. Choose a project process and develop its data into a practical management tool: structure the information, maintain traceability and explain its current status through interactive dashboards. Select one application based on your goals and the data available. The scope and expected deliverables are agreed with the trainer. These are alternative data analysis projects: you develop one selected process and its reporting, drawing on the relevant subject knowledge and available project data.
01 / PROJECT OPTION
Track planned, issued and overdue documents and models by date, discipline and owner. Compare planned delivery against actual progress through interactive dashboards.
A delivery dashboard highlighting progress, deadlines and priority actions.
02 / PROJECT OPTION
Work with P6 programme extracts and map activities and milestones to MIDP deliverables using agreed identifiers. Through interactive dashboards, compare baseline, forecast and actual dates and assess gaps between required and available information, subject to the data provided.
A data visualisation delivery and gap analysis dashboard highlighting delays, missing information, deadlines at risk and priority actions.
03 / PROJECT OPTION
Extract and organise model quantities by building, zone or category, then connect them to unit rates to explore estimates and cost variations. The scope depends on the information held in the models and the cost data available.
A quantity and cost dashboard with clearly stated assumptions and variances.
04 / PROJECT OPTION
Structure design review comments, RFIs, technical queries and clashes. Analyse status, response times, ownership and action close-out.
A interactive dashboard of review and coordination actions, highlighting outstanding decisions.
05 / PROJECT OPTION
Organise inspection records, checks, compliance evidence and non-conformance reports (NCRs). Track corrective actions, owners and resolution times.
A data visualisation quality dashboard covering completed checks, non-conformances and outstanding corrective actions.
06 / PROJECT OPTION
Structure a defects and snagging register by area, package, category and owner. Analyse rectification times and track the items awaiting verification before close-out.
A interactive dashboard of defect locations, ageing, rectification and verified close-out.
07 / PROJECT OPTION
Agree a project-specific scope to track test readiness, results, supporting records and blockers. The topic is tailored to your requirements and the data available.
A data visualisation commissioning dashboard highlighting test readiness, outstanding tests and open actions.
08 / PROJECT OPTION
Connect asset data, model compliance and maintenance documents to operational requirements. Assess information completeness, expected records and actions needed for handover.
A data visualisation operational readiness dashboard of missing data, compliance checks and outstanding documents.
Whatever topic you choose, the aim is to go beyond producing charts: check data quality, define meaningful indicators, make assumptions explicit and present a reasoned view of the project’s current position and next actions.
Extract, clean and structure the available project data.
Build relationships and calculations suited to your analysis.
Create readable interactive dashboards with useful filters.
Present findings, limitations and practical next steps.
Before enrolment is confirmed, we review your goals, practical software skills and readiness for modules 2 and 3. The 12-hour Foundation module introduces BIM principles; progression to Advanced includes a review of your Excel and model-handling skills. You do not need prior mastery of Power BI, Power Query or DAX. Any preparation needed is discussed before you commit to the complete journey.
View Advanced entry requirements ↗Develop your project with the trainer during scheduled classes, then complete it at your own pace. The 54 hours cover scheduled classes; independent project work follows your own pace. After the final class, you receive 30 days of email support and a structured review of your deliverables. Course documents and required files are provided through your member access.
Live online training with the trainer. In-person sessions are planned in Wallonia; venue and dates are still to be confirmed. Bring your own laptop. The detailed timetable and technical requirements are confirmed when we respond to your enquiry. See the calendar for information sessions, current fees and software arrangements.
