Training currently takes place live online. For Advanced and Master Class, the detailed timetable is agreed before enrolment is confirmed. Registering interest neither reserves a place nor triggers payment.
MODULE 1 · 12 HOURS
A guided introduction: understand the BIM workflow and explore the role of the tools through demonstrations and supported activities.
Designed for students, early-career professionals, technicians and coordinators who want a practical grounding in BIM.
You’ll need basic Windows and Excel skills and a willingness to learn. Advanced BIM software experience is not required.
• Understand how a model and its documentation are organised
• Identify the key stages of coordination and information sharing
• Explore how BIM information connects to data visualisation indicators through guided exercises
These eight topics form one 12-hour introduction. Activities focus on understanding, guided manipulation and reading examples; they are not separate software courses.
TOPIC 01
Understand BIM concepts, the principles of ISO 19650 and how project information is organised.
TOPIC 02
Explore model structure and practise basic operations in Revit with guidance.
TOPIC 03
Explore families, views, sheets and schedules through demonstrations.
TOPIC 04
Understand model federation, see clash detection in action and explore issue tracking.
TOPIC 05
Identify the role of documents, issues and reviews in BIM 360 / Autodesk Construction Cloud.
TOPIC 06
Discover data preparation in Excel and Power Query through a guided example.
TOPIC 07
Explore how data, DAX measures and visualisations work together in a guided report walkthrough.
TOPIC 08
See a simple example of Python automation applied to project data.
By the end of the module, you should be able to explain how models, documents, coordination and data relate, identify the purpose of the main tools and read a dashboard with guidance. The next step depends on your practical skills and learning goals.
Foundation gives you the initial framework to understand BIM. If you wish to progress to Advanced, we will discuss your practical software skills and help you plan the next step around your current abilities.
Support during scheduled classes, followed by email exchanges. Course documents and required files are shared with participants through their member access.
The complete journey combines Foundation and Advanced, with a final project to bring the methods together. Explore the full offer and discuss your starting point before enrolling.
